Resistance training often referred to as strength training or weight training, improves muscle strength, endurance and tone and protects your joints from injury. It can help you reach your weight management goals as well as maintain flexibility and balance.

It involves exercising muscles using some form of resistance. The resistance for these classes will be bands, dumbbells, your own body weight (includes the incorporation of Pilates) and equipment available at Jen’s Private Gym.

There are many benefits of Resistance Training; here are a few of many: Boost Metabolism and Reduce Body Fat, Increase Bone Density and Improve Balance, Improve Mental Health, Build Muscle Mass, Improve Muscle Strength and Endurance, Reduce the Risk of Injuries, & Increase Self-Esteem.

What to Bring:
• Dress comfortably, in clothing that you can move freely in
• Bring indoor runners to wear
• Bring an Exercise/Yoga mat if you want your very own to use, (see Jen’s sale items on website if you would like a new one to purchase); you may also use one from Jen’s Private gym.
• Bring a water bottle
