If you are a community group in need of funding, please read the following carefully, as this may be the opportunity for you!
The Community Foundation of Portage & District's 'Women Who Care' Program offers TWO separate funding opportunities, with some key differences between them, with respect to their application process:
The Women Who Care Community Impact Grant ($10,000) requires submitting an application form, and then the Special Events Committee will select 5 applicants to make a "pitch" to an audience of women at the "150 Women Who Care" event on Feb.19, 2026. The women then vote on who they think should receive the $10,000 to put toward their community program or project (which must align with CFPD's objectives).
The Women Who Care Fund Grant ($5400) simply requires submitting an application form for a project or program that involves supporting, empowering, educating, and/or investing in women and girls specifically (this Grant does NOT require attendance or pitching at the "150 Women Who Care" event).
The Application Deadline for both opportunities is January 15, 2026.
We encourage non-profit organizations and community groups to consider applying to one or both of these opportunities. Applications can be found at www.cfpdi.ca/grants. If you require more information, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for assistance at info@cfpdi.ca, 204-856-1971, or in person at our office (206 Saskatchewan Avenue E.).
