Portage Youth Soccer is looking for soccer referees for the upcoming 2019 soccer season. We will be running two one-day sessions to train referees; only one session is required. Training will be done by Mike Mondry, the PYSA Director of Referees, who was trained at the MSA level. There is no cost to the training sessions. Training is classroom based to go over rules of the game and how to call them.
We are looking for anyone over the age of 12 who is interested in refereeing soccer. Referees can earn between $15 and $35 per game and our season runs only May and June. Referees will be provided with the basic gear for covering games.
Our training sessions will run Saturday April 13th and Saturday April 27th, from 9-4pm, in Southport.
