Walk and Talk - Thrive Learning Centre Portage

Friday, Mar 27, 2020 at 1:00PM Repeating event

Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Central Region

Research suggests physical activity at least 20 minutes a day can improve mental and physical health. We invite students and members of the community to join us every Friday for a 30 minute walk towards better health, discussing topics raised by individuals and by the group. This course is part of the Focus on Physical Health cluster. Walks are held at Thrive Learning Centre - Portage campus at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Central Region building at 102 1st Street NW, Portage la Prairie MB.

Sessions of Walk and Talk are offered every Friday at 1:00 pm from the following dates, inclusively:
Friday, January 17, 2020 at 1:00 pm
Friday, March 27, 2020 at 1:00 pm

At Thrive Learning Centre we offer free, informative courses that address topics related to mental health, physical health, building your best life, finding your voice, building skills and connecting to your community. Our courses are designed for people who have a general interest about the topic, people supporting their own mental health recovery journey, friends and family members supporting others with a mental health situation, and also for health care practitioners. Courses are open to the general public.
