Telling Your Story is a 3 session, 1 hour per session course that discusses the writing process and telling one's own story of mental illness or addiction. Day 1 focuses on creative expression, storytelling, and relating it to the recovery process. Day 2 features a speaker who will share their own personal story for the sake of motivation and connection. Day 3 focuses on public speaking for those who choose to tell their own stories to an audience. This course is part of the Finding My Voice cluster. Classes are held at Thrive Learning Centre - Portage campus at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Central Region building at 102 1st Street NW, Portage la Prairie MB.
